For our SS24 photoshoot we wanted to capture the feeling and energy of a kids birthday party and family get together with all the joy, ups, downs, laughter, tears and chaos that brings so we did just that and had a birthday party at home in the garden just like families would do with a gang of excited little ones, lots of decorations, candles, confetti, cakes and fun!
In the past we have used a studio for the photos – this was good but we wanted great and were never quite happy that the vibe of these photos did not portray the feel we wanted to get across. They seemed a little ‘flat’ and the white background didn’t do justice to the collection. So the garden party idea was put in place and our lovely Madigan, sales and marketing manager for Tiny Victories had a fun shopping trip to gather the decorations and cakes. What a great job she did of setting the scene!
With all the tee’s steamed and the tutus fluffed Madigan, Jenn, Siobhan, Jen, Cameron and Michele were ready for the day!
Local Californian mums arrived on a beautiful hot sunny day and the party got underway!
And we got those amazing shots we were after of kids having fun, enjoying the day with the party atmosphere captured just as we were hoping it would be!
There were some tears – being told not to eat the delicious cupcake props until the end of the day is a really tough ask of any under 5 – there were some sneaky finger licks going on! The models all did a fantastic job and the lookbook was created.
